About this product
The FarmRanger Satellite Cattle Collar brings livestock security to cattle and horse farms beyond reliable mobile coverage. It uses the Iridium satellite network for instant alarms and live GPS tracking, with the same rugged casing as the standard cattle collar.
The collar fits most cattle breeds with an adjustable length from 80 cm to 120 cm, and one unit typically covers a herd of up to 30 cattle or horses. A solar panel supplements the rechargeable battery for extended life between charges.
During an alarm, up to two designated phone numbers receive an alerting call and the FarmRanger app shows live tracking. Daily location updates and battery status keep you informed even when nobody is on the farm.
The satellite range does not include geofencing yet and provides fewer periodic location updates than the GSM model. FarmRanger plans to add geofencing through a remote software upgrade.
